Description

Board members find themselves in stressful situations when actions of the board are subject to extensive public oversight and criticism from a variety of stakeholders. A small amount of stress can be good for a person and can motivate you to perform well. However, too much stress can take a toll on both mind and body. This session will explore the common causes of stress and suggest ways to manage it better — before it manages you. You will learn ways to find calm during challenging moments and learn how to prepare for stressful situations that may arise in the future by recognizing how stress affects you.
